Where Do You Meet Other Singles

Being Single does not mean that you cannot have an active social life. Many singles feel that they have to be in a "relationship" to feel complete and secure. There has however been a shift in attitudes towards traditional dating, love and relationships.

With the ever increasing social networking sites, there are more opportunities to connect on a not so intimate level. Even singles that found it difficult to meet friends other than coworkers have found a more rewarding lifestyle due to the internet.

With sites like Meetup.com, there is the the freedom and ability to choose from an incredible array of groups and networking clubs to join and build friendships and contacts with. Meetup.com is probably my top pick for social networking and activities sites!

On Meetup.com you can also join anything from Kayaking to Buddhism groups. There is an endless supply of friends to choose from and one can never again complain about being lonely.

Other than networking, dating and activity sites, singles can often meet others at sports bars, gyms, and internet cafes. The internet cafes can be a fun place since many times you will see the same faces and can build a repore with the regulars. You might also gain some computer knowledge!

Yoga can provide some intereseting single friends. Normally, people are very friendly and relaxed there. It is also a great way to get your mind and body in shape for a potential relationhip down the road!

The key is to stay busy. I realize that in 2009 we face challenges unprecedented concerning the U.S. economy. It makes it more difficult to take time to relax and enjoy.
